Université Virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire (UVCI) was established in December 2015 as a public university under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Located in Abidjan, the university focuses on four main functions:

1. Providing online and distance education, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in various disciplines such as computer and digital sciences;

2.Supporting the development of open and distance learning in traditional educational institutions;

3.Disseminating knowledge and scientific culture through its digital platform;

4.Establishing national and international partnership networks in the field of distance education.
